This article contains instructions on how to gather the error logs while facing any issues with the Rhapsody 6 PC software. This will help us to know the exact issue and fix it.
Please follow the steps below to turn on and off error logging for Windows 7 and 8 OS
1. Click the Windows button in the bottom left corner
2. Enter “Environment Variables” in the Search box and hit the Enter
3. Click “New” under the “User Variables For Administrator” box
4. Enter “Rhapsody_Logging” in the “Variable name” box
5. Enter “Console” in the “Variable value” box
6. Click “OK” to close all open boxes and close any other open windows
7. Open Rhapsody 6. A black window also opens showing a log file being created.
8. Use Rhapsody 6 to reproduce the problem. The log file will write down what happened.
9. After the problem occurs, leave Rhapsody open
10. Click the Windows button the bottom left corner
11. Enter “Task Manager” in the Search box and hit Enter. The Task Manager will open.
12. Click the “Processes” tab
12. Scroll to “Rhapsody.exe”
13. Right-click on ‘Rhapsody.exe”
14. Choose “Open file location." A new window will open.
15. Scroll to “Rhapsody.Windows.log.txt”
16. Drag “Rhapsody.Windows.log.txt” to the desktop ( Note: Please close Rhapsody PC client before you drag this file to the desktop)
17. Attach “Rhapsody.Windows.log.txt” to an email and send it to help@rhapsody.com with the subject line “Rhapsody 6 log file.” Please also include a short summary of the problem.
Now you can turn off logging:
1. Close Rhapsody 6

6. Click “OK” to close out of all the open dialog boxes and close any other open windows
