How to Update Windows Media Components

Before you start:

  • Ensure the Rhapsody app is not running.
  • Disconnect any MP3 players.
  • Ensure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  • Make sure that you use the Internet Explorer browser.

To update security components:

  1. Browse to this page: http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/crlupdate/en/crlupdate.html, install the add-in and click the Upgrade button. (If the Upgrade button is not enabled at this step, see below.)
  2. Browse to this page: http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp and click the Upgrade button. (If the Upgrade button is not enabled at this step, see below.)
  3. Restart your computer.

If the Upgrade button is not enabled in Step 1 above, try the following:

  1. Run Internet Explorer as Administrator.
  2. Make sure to give permission to install the add-in.

If the Upgrade button is not enabled in Step 2 above, try the following:

  1. Run Windows Media Player.
  2. Press Ctrl+U and type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=49282
  3. Follow the dialog instructions.
  4. Once the download has completed, if it tries to do the steps again, just cancel and close the remaining dialogs.

Restart your computer before using MP3 players.
